Laurie Lynne (Burton) Wilson, 50, of Frankfort, died June 26, 2017 at the home of her daughter in Lafayette, Ind.  Born October 14, 1966 in Frankfort, Indiana to James & Eleanor (Wessell) Burton.  Laurie was a 1985 graduate of Frankfort High School and was a lifelong Frankfort resident.  She was a stay at home mother and grandmother and had worked at Mulberry Lutheran Home for many years.

Visitation and Services

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2017 at Bunnell Cemetery.

Survived by:

Daughter: Megan (Chad) Myers of Lafayette, IN, 2 Sons: Russell Cox of Frankfort, and Timothy (companion Jessica Morris) Wilson of Frankfort, 2 Sisters: Brenda Coonrod of Delphi, and Kathy Butcher of Frankfort, and 5 Grandchildren: Abagail Creasy, Alyssa Creasy, Gage Wilson, Nevaeh Jackson and Emmalyn Jo Morris.

Preceded by:

her parents, a brother, Danny Burton and a sister Vickie Burton.

    I am so very sorry to hear the news of Laurie. I remember going to slumber parties at her house when we were young. A scripture I find comforting is Isaiah 41:10. It says “Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.”
