Larry R. “Hubert” Hickerson, 81, of Frankfort, Ind., died April 14, 2018 at I.U. Health, Lafayette, Ind. He was born March 7, 1937 in Frankfort, Ind. to Pauline Hickerson and adopted by Lucille Hickerson in 1953. He married Jane Hackett on June 3, 1961 in Frankfort, Ind. and she survives.
Mr. Hickerson was a 1955 Frankfort High School graduate and a lifelong Frankfort resident. He worked for Chrysler Corp. Transmission Plant in Kokomo, Ind. for 33 ½ years, retiring on October 31, 1998. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from July 1, 1956 until July 3, 1962. He was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Frankfort and the Local UAW in Kokomo. Hubert enjoyed making plastic models, was an avid Chicago Bears fan and an avid Kiss fan.
Visitation and Services
Services will be 12 Noon, Friday, April 20, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, envelopes will be available.

Wife: Jane Hickerson of Frankfort. Son: Daniel (Brenda) Hickerson of Frankfort. Daughter: Melea (Alan) Lafary of Frankfort. 3 Grandsons: Daniel L. (Shantel) Hickerson of Terre Haute, Dereck Hickerson of Frankfort, Jensen Lawrence Lafary of Frankfort. 5 Granddaughters: Jamie Lafary of Frankfort, Jeralyn (Zack) Lafary of Lafayette, TN, Stephany Hinton of Marinette, WI, Addyson Hinton of Frankfort, Izabella Hinton of Frankfort. 1 Great Grandson: William Fedser of Lafayette, TN.
