I am shocked and surprised at this sad news. Olivia told me that when Larry retired, one of his comments was, “Now Jerry and I can go fishing more often!”. Unfortunately, Jerry died about the same time Larry retired. I’m hoping they have clear streams, good weather and can fish eternally. Olivia, Mike, and Katie, I feel very sad for you and am sending all of you my sympathy and my hugs!

Larry was a good friend, and I really enjoyed talking with him and Olivia, singing with him & Olivia, and sharing many meals, as well, with the two of them. I am so saddened by his passing. I spent time in his Bible Study for several years. I pray that Our Lord will bring Olivia, and the family through this time of loss. He will be missed by so many! A good man who shared his faith in Christ, with his words, his actions, and his life.

What sadness fills our hearts, our deepest sympathies go out to you Olivia and the family as you navigate these difficult days. Larry was such a warm and kind man. He always asked about dad and his phone calls to dad over the years just to say hi made my dad’s day. As sad as we are now, we find comfort knowing that Larry’s welcome home to Heaven was rich, joyous and well deserved. Much love to you dear sister.

It was an honor for me to join my Purdue Glee Club Brothers-in-Song to pay tribute to Larry at is Celebration of Life service. I was a member of the Glee Club 1967-71. Larry was quite an efficient Glee Club Manager. May fond memories and the love of family and friends offer you comfort. Sincerely, Ken Knowles (and wife Pam, too)

Larry and I grew up together and went to school in eastern PA. When he moved to Indiana with his grandparents and family, we still kept in contact both in high school and college. We would intermittently visit over the years either in Indiana or the East coast. He taught me the importance of euchre, and the pork tenderloin sandwich. We have had good times and we’re supposed to see each other in June, but unfortunately we postponed it. He was a great person and I will miss our intermittent visits. Buddy
