Something you kids don’t know. Your dad (Butch) and my brother (Mose Spray) and I grew up in the Woodside area. Although I was 4 years younger, “the boys” tolerated me as their younger nemesis!! Butch was always at the house, on the baseball sand lot, or anywhere kids were gathering to play games like hide and seek, kick the can, or (sometimes) ditch the “girl kid tag along.” But he always called me his “ little sister” whenever we met for the rest of his life. I received an email message via the Frankfort HS website every year on my birthday…which he would say “happy birthday to my little sister.” I will miss him and those messages. I will always have him in a special place in my heart along with my own family. Memories never die…they give those left behind more time to be together.

I remember this man’s kindness to us when we attended the Masonic Lodge monthly breakfasts. He was always very friendly & caring. He noticed people & I appreciated that. So sorry to hear that he is now gone, but I know that his life had been difficult since the loss of his wife. My family misses those breakfasts with our dad & now we will miss not being able to see Mr. Huffer again, in this life. Susie
