Rosie was my preschool teacher, and then my favorite librarian as I voraciously read everything I could get my hands on. She was always kind and loving, and I will continue to try to emulate her spirit with my own students. I am so sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye, and I am very sorry for her family. She is impossible to replace. I will always think of her when I think of riding my bike to the library. Praying for all of you as you mourn her loss.

Jay – We are so sorry for your loss of your beautiful (inside and out) Rosie. As we looked through the memorial video we both agreed that the two of you haven’t changed much since your wedding (Roland was a member of the wedding party). We are in Florida and are scheduled to fly back Friday afternoon. Sorry we’ll not be able to attend Rosie’s services but we will be in touch soon.

  43. Julia (Ebert) Meier December 1, 2016 at 2:46 pm

When I think of Rosie, I see a considerate, easy-to-be-with, loving, caring, fun and most of all smiling childhood friend. There was never one moment of discontent or confusion with our relationship during those early years. Ours was an easy and simple one of kindness. Even when years and miles came between us, I always felt such wonderful memories of the girl who had the sweetest smile on a beautiful face as well as in her spirit. May time heal the pain, but never the memories.
