To the Family of Kenneth D. Beard,
I send condolences at the death of Kenneth, who was my first cousin. Although he was almost a decade older than I, I always knew him as a friendly and warm-hearted cousin. I thought Nadine, his wife, was one of the most beautiful women I knew. I am Margaret Kingery Dimoplon, daughter of Maude Beard Kingery, who was a sister of Kenny’s father, Floyd. Though I have lived away from Clinton County for the greater part of my life, I returned to Indiana from the Northeast in the 1980’s to assume a teaching position at Ball State University. I am the one who typed up my Uncle Floyd’s histories of the Beard and Rice families, so he and I had quite a bit of contact during that time. My sister, Mary Rutan, who lives in the Mulberry, Indiana, area and I are the two living cousins [as far as we know] of Kenneth’s generation. I hold all of you in the Light at this time of loss. Peace to you. Margie Dimoplon
