Kash Morgan Smith, 50 of Frankfort, died September 16, 2020 at St. Vincent Heart Center, Carmel, Ind.  He was born November 12, 1969 in Frankfort to Junior G. Carroll and Barbara (Wallace) Smith.

Kash was a farmer, worked at Wesley Manor and was a past bouncer at the local bars.  He was a member of Frankfort Eagles Lodge #976.  Kash loved horses, fishing, hunting and enjoyed being outdoors.  He was always on the go, and was the type of person that never met a stranger.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 11 a.m. -1 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Goodwin Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.

Survived by:

Parents: Barbara & Roger Smith, 2 Sons: Dustin (Caitlin) Cunningham, Austin (Mya New) Carroll, 2 Daughters: Brittany Smith, Kiara Smith, 4 Grandchildren: Gavin, Layne, Nash and Cohen, 4 Sisters: Misty, Emily Smith, Tia Carroll and Dianne (David) Winters, 5 Brothers: Christopher Smith, Mike Lane, Dean (Kim) Smith Jamie Carroll and Joe Kiger. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

    I’m lost for words right now, but thank you for the years we shared as one together and a lifetime of friendship. You have me the most beautiful Daughter ever. She looks so much like you and acts like you. I’ll always look after our Daughter and give her the best life I can and she will always remember you. Please watch over Kiara as I know you will. I’ll always love you Kash! I’ll cherish all the years of friendship and the years we spent as one. Part of me died with you but I must be strong for our Daughter and Austin, Brittany, Dusty and the whole family.     I’m so sorry for your loss. My condolences go out to all of you. Kash was such a good man and a good friend. He was a good bouncer too, never would let anything happen to you if you were friends and in some trouble. I loved going out to the Fair barns and seeing the horses. He’d show you everything you needed to do just right for those horses. Brittany I’m here if you need to talk or hangout and Joe I’m so sorry. My prayers go out to all of you.     Kash, I met you last year at Mike “Big Andy” Anderson’s house. You extended your hand to shake mine and I said I don’t shake hands, I give hugs. You smiled and said ok, and as I hugged you I said any friend of Mike’s is a friend of mine. You said you appreciated that. Mike’s heart is broken. My heart is broken. You were not only one of his best friends, but his Brother from another Mother! He and I will never forget you and we will miss you every single day. Until we see you again, Rest In Peace Brother.
