Julia Mae “Judy” Miller, 94, of Lebanon, Ind., passed away peacefully on July 13, 2024 at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon. She was born on August 31, 1929 in Clinton County to Carl and Helen (Cline) McKinsey and was a lifelong resident of the area. She married the love of her life, William C. Miller on June 3, 1961 and together they built a life filled with love and laughter, he preceded her in death on June 12, 2005.
Judy was a proud Jackson Township Cardinal, graduating with the Class of 1947. A dedicated homemaker, she devoted her life to nurturing her large and loving family. She raised seven children and was grandmother to 13, a great-grandmother to 25, and a great-great-grandmother to 4, with more on the way. Judy found joy in the simple pleasures of life, cherishing every moment spent with her family and friends. An avid sports fan, Judy enjoyed watching Purdue Women’s Basketball and the Chicago Cubs. She relished the opportunities to cheer on her favorite teams and share these moments with her family. Judy also spent several years living in Naples, Florida, fulfilling her dream of residing in the Sunshine State. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lebanon, Indiana.
Memorial donations may be made in Julia’s honor to the Purdue University Center for Cancer Research, 201 S. University Street, West Lafayette, Indiana 47906.

Facebook Twitter GoogleMy name is Terri (Young) Bortz and I’m Bob and Ginny (Virginia) Young’s daughter. I met your mother when she and Melissa moved to Naples, FL. Your mom made me laugh at the stories she shared about my parents. There wasn’t a silent moment when they were together. I’m so glad I was able to spend time with Melissa and Judy. My sincere condolences for the loss of your mom, she was a great friend to my parents. That is a GREAT picture of your mom! (I love it!)

Facebook Twitter GoogleI just now found about Julia’s death because I live in Virginia. We were neighbors throughout our childhood and all 12 years at Jackson HS. We rode our bicycles and played croquet often. I called her often while she was in nursing home. We were basketball fanatics. I’m so saddened knowing she is gone—know she’s not suffering. Her 95th birthday was near-we always joked about our age, she being 3 months older than me. Sending my sincere condolences to all of her family.
