Julia J. “Judy” Rothenberger

Julia J. “Judy” Rothenberger 90, of Frankfort, IN, died May 23, 2012 at the Mulberry Health and Retirement Community. She was born December 13, 1921 in Frankfort to Lloyd & Ruth (Kelley) Thompson. She married William J. Rothenberger on August 15, 1943 in Lafayette and he preceded her in death on August 19, 2003. Mrs. Rothenberger was a graduate of Mulberry High School and attended Purdue University. She lived most of her life in Clinton County. She worked at the Pentagon during WWII; upon her return to Frankfort she worked in Adrian Mark abstract office, sold real estate and later in life operated a private reflexology office out of her home. She was a member of the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Visitation and Services

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2012 at Green Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit for one hour prior to the service at Goodwin Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Mulberry Health and Retirement Community.

1 Son: Dr. Larry Rothenberger of Mulberry 1 Daughter: Kathy Ann McMurtrey of West Lafayette 4 Grandchildren: Michael Rothenberger of South Carolina, Katharine Lee Black of Indianapolis, Keely Korstanje of West Lafayette and Brian Noojin of Bloomington 4 Great Grandchildren also survive

    Keely, I am sorry to hear about your grandmother. I was very close to my maternal grandmother, so when I lost her at age 11, it was devastating. I know how close you can get to grandparents. They sometimes are your next best friend. I hope she didn’t suffer and was ready to meet the Lord.
