Joyce M. Shrock

Joyce M. Shrock, 73, of rural Frankfort, died March 17, 2022 at Franciscan Health, Lafayette, Ind.  She was born October 15, 1948 in Frankfort, Ind. to William A. & Esther Ruth (Bragg) Smith.  She married Michael Shrock on October 18, 1975 and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2009.

Joyce was a graduate of Frankfort High School and a lifelong Clinton County resident.  She had worked for Rotech in Lafayette, Ind.  She was a member of the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Frankfort.  Joyce enjoyed socializing with friends at The Frankfort Diner, loved going to church and was a generous, kind hearted animal lover.

Visitation and Services

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2022 at Kilmore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family strongly encourages donations to Goodwin Funeral Home or Clinton County Humane Society, P.O. Box 455, Frankfort, IN 46041.

Survived by:

2 Nieces: Tonya S. (Jamie) Foster of Delphi, Crystal D. (John) Collins of Frankfort, Nephew: James W. “Jim” Smith II of Frankfort, Brother: Ralph E. (Sharon) Smith of Lafayette as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded by:

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James W. Smith Sr.

    I’m sorry to learn of Joyce’s passing; I have known Joyce for about 60 years and although I have not seen her in many years, we did talk through Facebook. Blessings on the family today as you make plans to lay her to rest.

    So sorry to read of Joyce’s passing. She and I grew up together and she will be missed especially by her Facebook friends.

    I will miss Joyce so much. We had a wonderful friendship, sharing church and our belief in our Lord Jesus, great conversations, lunches out. My heart goes out to all her family and friends, but I know Joyce is happy where she is.
