Joyce M. Sheets 82, of Frankfort, died at 7:35 a.m. April 25, 2015 at her home.  Born December 18, 1932 in Lebanon, TN to Jeffery Davis & Ida (Preston) Nipper. She married Melvin L. Sheets on June 22, 1957 in Plainfield, Indiana and he survives. Mrs. Sheets was a homemaker and had lived in Frankfort since 1955. She formerly attended Faith Family Ministries and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Joyce was an avid basketball and baseball fan.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 9-11 a.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home with the service beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Clinton County Cancer Fund, 241 S. Broadway St., Frankfort, IN 46041.

Husband: Melvin L. Sheets of Frankfort, 2 Sons: Ricky R. Sheets of Frankfort, Derrick Sheets of Frankfort, Sister: Maxine Leithton of Florida and Brother: Neal Nipper of Russiaville. 6 Grandchildren

Preceded by:

a granddaughter, Erin.

    My sincerest condolences for your loss. I enjoyed teasing you and “Gloria” throughout the years. I hope that Joyce departed this world knowing it was all in good fun. Thanks for the memories.
