Joyce Ann Thomas, 83, of Frankfort, died September 28, 2023 at Franciscan Hospice House, Indianapolis.  She was born February 16, 1940 in Frankfort, Ind to Thomas & Lottie (McGuire) Pierce.  She married Wilbur Dean Thomas on August 30, 1957 in Lebanon, Ind. and he preceded her in death on November 25, 2016.

Joyce was a graduate of Frankfort High School.  She had worked as a stenographer for the State Office Building, N & S Railroad and later received her CNA and worked in private health care. She enjoyed shopping, and travelling. Joyce was most proud of her granddaughters’ accomplishments, Daniell Bonam MS in Teaching, Taylor Bonam Doctorate of Anesthesiology, and Dr. Brittany Thomas OB/GYN.

 

 

Visitation and Services

No services are planned.  Inurnment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery Niche.  Clinton County Crematory and Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort is assisting the family with arrangements.

Survived by:

Surviving are her Daughter:  Tracy (Doug) Bonam of Martinsville; Son:  Todd (Jackie) Thomas of Santa Clara, CA; and Sister:  Connie S. Pitzer of Frankfort.

    I am so sorry for your family’s loss. Much love and prayers for all family. I loved her laughter and how outgoing she was. I definitely miss seeing all her photos on Facebook and meeting her in the Goodwill stores.

    I always enjoyed Joyce as a neighbor. We enjoyed shopping together at times and simply chatting. She will be missed!

    I’m so sorry to hear of Joyce’s passing. She was a special person and one of my mom’s best friends. She was so kind to drive her around and take her places when she was still able. And I’ll not forget her stopping to question me when I was cleaning my mom’s house out, (I was all sweaty and hair up and not recognizable.) And she was protecting her friend, knowing she was confined at the Manor. My condolences, Tracy, Todd and families. We’re going to miss her around Frankfort!

    Tracy Todd and Connie Have special memories of Joyce and Connie having grown up next to them and having seen them through the years such a special lady always smiling and laughing always happy so sorry for your loss

    Dear Tracy & Todd, So sorry about your Mom. She was so very proud of all of you. She always spoke highly about her granddaughters. We have already missed seeing her buzz up and down the streets of Frankfort.
