Joshua Ray Meeks, 35, of Lebanon, died at 2:32 p.m. July 21, 2017 at Witham Memorial Hospital.   Our family didn’t realize that it was possible to feel so heartbroken, yet so relieved at the same time.  After watching you struggle for 13 long years, your fight is finally over. You’re Free!

Born August 21, 1981 in Frankfort, Ind., to Gordie & Patty (Wyatt) Meeks.  Josh attended Frankfort High School.  He was an avid outdoorsman, loved fishing and camping, we often said that he was born 100 years too late. He loved playing sports such as basketball and football.  Josh was a loyal Colts fan, win or lose.  He enjoyed listening to music, and chillin’ with friends and family.  Josh was such a likable guy, so laid back and carefree.  His nickname was ‘The Gentle Giant’.  He made such an impact on the lives of those that he came in contact with in just the short amount of time that he was with us.  Josh was loved by many.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 12 Noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Frankfort Lagoons.

Survived by:

Parents: Gordie & Patty Meeks of Frankfort, Son: Joshua Gordon Meeks of Frankfort, 2 Sisters: Davina Leigh Meeks of Frankfort, Breanna Jo (Paul) Adair of Frankfort, Mother of his Son: Stacey Taylor and her son, Jordan Swope of Frankfort. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
