Joseph L. Peterson 65, of Clarks Hill, Indiana, died December 13, 2016 at Clinton House Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born April 28, 1951 in Oceanside, Cal., to Richard W. & Laura L. (Bowles) Peterson. Joe was a 1969 graduate of Wainwright High School. He then attended Indiana University in Bloomington. He worked for Milestone Contractors. Joe loved hunting, fishing, antique cars, motorcycles and was an avid collector of Indian artifacts.
Visitation and Services
No services are planned at this time. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Clarks Hill, Ind.
Survived by:
1 Daughter: Jennie (Brian) Dekker of Lafayette, Ind. and 1 Brother: William R. (Jan) Peterson of Clarks Hill, Ind.

Joe was a great friend for many years & I will truly miss him as will the whole Tyrrell family. The friendship between the Peterson’s, Adams,Tyrrell’s extend back to
your father Dick & my grandfather Bill Adams.
Joe was a huge help to me back when I moved back to Clarks Hill after being gone for many years. He was absolutely a large part of helping me through a tough period of my life, and I will be for ever grateful. Joe new that but I don’t think to many other people did. We had some great times camping,fishing, swimming down a at your Mom’s pool.
