Joseph “Frank” Crawford, 85, of Frankfort, died August 20, 2022 at Mulberry Health.  Born July 28, 1937 in Forest, Ind. to Clarence Russell & Hazel May (Berry) Crawford.  He married Janet Kay Sutton at the First Christian Church in Frankfort on July 6, 1973 an she survives.

Frank was a graduate of Forest High School.  He retired in 2000 after working at Federal Mogul for 35 years.  He was previously a member of the Forest Baptist Church.  Frank loved to fish and was a past president of the The Frankfort Bass Casters, where he was one of the original members for over 40 years.

Visitation and Services

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Frankfort Bass Casters, c/o Mike Edmondson, 1000 Gentry St., Frankfort, IN 46041.

Survived by:

wife: Janet Crawford of Frankfort, daughter: Jan Elaine (Troy) Pearcy of Frankfort, son: Mark Allen Crawford of Plainfield and 3 grandchildren.

Preceded by:

his parents, a brother Harley Crawford and a sister Mary Watkins.

    Jan I’m so sorry for the loss of Frank, he was on great guy to work with and really enjoyed the fishing over across the street from FM.

    Jan, The Frankfort Bass Caster’s will truly miss a good man, a true fisherman and a true friend. As it was an honor to be an original member with Frank as he was a true leader that we could depend on.

      Mike, I am so very glad to hear from you. Dad spent a lot of years working with the Boy Scouts during our time and after. Like me, I think he would be happy to know someone remembered those days.
