Joseph E. Tharp 82, of rural Frankfort, died at 4:46 p.m. February 17, 2014 at Wesley Manor. Born July 9, 1931 in East Enterprise, Indiana to the late Edward M. & Leo M. (Haskell) Tharp. He married Esther Lotis Snyder on July 31, 1954 in South Bend, IN and she passed on May 28, 2008. Joseph grew up in East Enterprise area and was a 1950 graduate of Vevay High School. He attended Colorado Ministerial College and the Frankfort Pilgrim College. He was a maintenance carpenter and worked at National Homes for 14 ½ years and Delco Radio for 28 years. Joseph was a member of the First Wesleyan Church of Frankfort.
Visitation and Services
Services will be 12 Noon on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Clinton County Cancer Fund.

4 Daughters: Luana J. (Garry) Myers of Florida, Donna J. (Kerry) Kline of Kokomo, Deborah K. Tharp of Anchorage, AK, Janice E. (Dan) Myer of Mulberry, 2 Sisters: Naomi Beatty of Elizabethtown, IN, Ruth Schnell of Phoenix, AZ, 7 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.
Preceded by:
Joseph is preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda S. Smith, 2 sisters, Mary and Esther and a half-brother, Russell.
My sincere condolences to you and your family. Revelation 21:4 make this promise, it says: ” And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will morning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” What a beautiful promise, we all look forward, from our loving Creator, (Jehovah God, Psalm 83:18). May the God of peace be with you and your family.

A fond memory I have of your father is what a wonderful carpenter he was and the patience he had with Rhonda and I with some of our school projects.
