John Ray “Rocky” Rockhold Sr., 76, of Frankfort, passed away December 14th, 2021 in IU Arnett Hospital, Lafayette. He was born on May 18th, 1945 in Reedsville, OH., to Clark and Melva (Barber) Rockhold. Rocky was married to Daina L. Hess on November 20th, 1970, and she survives.
Rocky was a longtime member of The First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed history, especially American History, classic cars, guns, bluegrass music and tinkering around in his man cave. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Rocky never met a stranger, and none of us will ever forget his laugh. He set an excellent example of what it means to be a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend for many generations to follow. Rocky graduated from Coventry High School in Akron, Oh. He served in the Marine Reserves, and was previously employed by The Goodyear Tire Company, Conrail (retired), Fabtech, Inc (co-owner), and Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc. (retired).
