Facebook Twitter GoogleSo sorry to hear of Joan’s passing. Bob & Joan were good friends of my parents, Harry & Becky Shoemaker. I have great memories of spending time at their house on South Jackson Street. Joan was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Facebook Twitter GoogleAunt Joan was one of the kindest, sweetest and most patient people I have ever known. Our family was very close. She and Uncle Bob used to come to my parents house on Saturday mornings along with Uncle Herschel, and Aunt Shirley. Mother would make breakfast, and family memories would be shared. I imagine the laughter filled the house. I will miss her. I love you so much, Aunt Joan. A new angel is in Heaven and seeing Jesus face to face.

Facebook Twitter GoogleTo the entire family of Joan Bowen, my grandmother was Kate Goldsberry-VanCamp & because of her, I grew up always knowing Joan. She was always so very nice to me. I always was taught to call her Aunt Joan. I loved her & I know she felt the same way about me. I am so sorry for your loss of such a dear loved one. I know you will always miss her. She was just the kind of lady that would be a close dear loved one to everyone. I offer my condolences to each of you. It has been years now since I have seen her, but still she is a very important loved one to me. My prayers & thoughts are with each of you. She will always be missed.

Facebook Twitter GoogleJoan was a very dear person, always so kind-hearted and sweet. I spent many Sundays sharing a pew with her at FCC, and my mother, Virginia, always counted Joan among her steadfast church friends. She and I were very saddened to learn of her passing. Sending comforting thoughts and wishes to her daughter and extended family. We hope that healing comes soon and that the memories endure beautifully. Take care.

Facebook Twitter GoogleMrs. Bowen was secretary at Kiger El. when my sister and I attended. I think she was under Principal Larry Benbow. She was a sweet lady who always was kind and friendly to students. We remember her to this day as when we were small children. She touched many little souls and made school office a welcome place! She will always be remembered for her spirit and love of children that she serviced.
