Jerry R. Painter III, 39, of Frankfort, died unexpectedly, September 13, 2019 at his home.  Born January 4, 1980 in Frankfort, Ind. to Jerry R. Painter Jr and Elizabeth A. (Laflen) Sharpe.  He married Jennifer Stockberger on March 16, 2002 and she survives.  Jerry was a 1999 graduate of Frankfort High School.  He was a machinist, working at NTK.  Jerry enjoyed working on cars and riding ATV’s and motorcycles.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Alan Downing will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to Goodwin Funeral Home for the benefit of his son, Chasyn.

Survived by:

Wife: Jennifer Painter of Frankfort, Mother & Step-Father: Liz & Alan Sharpe of rural Frankfort, Father: Jerry R. Painter Jr. of Frankfort, 2 Sons: Chasyn Painter at home, Tavius Hipsher of Delphi, Brother: Stone Sharpe of Frankfort, Special Uncle: Mike Painter of Frankfort, Niece & Nephew: Alexis & Trey Haynes of Frankfort, Aunts, Uncles and several cousins also survive.

    The world will be a little less bright now that you’re gone. I loved hanging out with you and joking around. You always knew how to make light out of any situation. Thank you for always being there when I didn’t have any family around to support me. I will never forget that. You were a GREAT man. You will be greatly missed!
