Jerilynn Hodson, 76, of Rossville, unexpectedly went Home on December 6, 2021 and is now rejoicing with Jesus.  She was born on May 24, 1945 in Frankfort to John and Helen (Simmons) Dorner.  She married Kenneth W. Hodson on February 14, 1985 in Rossville and he survives.

A lifelong Clinton County resident, Jerilynn was a 1963 graduate of Frankfort Senior High School.  She was a telephone operator for Indiana Bell and a CNA at Milner’s Health Care for over 30 years.  She was also Secretary for Hodson Plumbing & Heating, her husband’s business.  She attended Living Stone Church and Rossville Bible Fellowship, where she was very involved in many areas.  She loved her Lord and was active in many women’s groups at her church.  She was in the Red Hat Society and was a Gold Lady.  She was selfless and had a heart of gold.  She enjoyed serving others by cooking and serving meals.  Her family and grandchildren meant the world to her.

Rossville Bible Fellowship, c/o Jerry Amore, P.O. Box 581, Rossville, IN  46065 or the

Living Stone Church, P.O. Box 179, Rossville, IN 46065.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort.  Funeral Service will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery.

Surviving along with her husband: Ken are her Children: John (Shelley) Bowlin of Delphi, Stephanie (Larry) Rodkey of Frankfort, Melissa (Aaron) Nacke of Delphi, Suzann (David) Terry of Frankfort, David (Kelly) Hodson of Rossville, and Melissa (Gary) Ostler of Rural Frankfort; Grandchildren: Caleb Bowlin, Rachel (Capt. Tommy) Thompson, Jacob Bowlin, Courtney Rodkey, Chloe Rodkey, Taylor Nacke, Tori Nacke, Paige Terry, PayneTerry, Phoebe Terry, Alejandro Ostler, and Levi Ostler; Great-Grandson: Siggy Thompson; and Sister: Suzann (Ron) Wainscott of Mulberry.  

Preceded by:

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister: Christine Barker.

    I was shocked to learn of Jerilynn’s passing. She always had a smile for me whenever or wherever I saw her, whether it was in Milner’s or in her home when I delivered her Avon order. I remember her collection of snowmen on shelves inside the front door. Her bright smile will be missed. You have my sympathy during this time.

    I am so very very sorry you have lost a very special person in your family. JL was a very special person not only to her family but to her friends. As you know, I had more spinal surgery 12-1 and I’m now in Rehab so I won’t be able to show my respect. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

    I JUST AM BLOWN AWAY AT THIS!! JERRILYNN WAS THE MOST UNSELFISH PERSON I KNEW AND A VERY DEAR FRIEND OF MINE FOR YEARS!!! HER FAMILY WAS SO SPECIAL TO HER AND SHE IS GOING TO BE SO MISSED!     Dear Suzanne & Family,
    Our hearts are saddened to hear about our sweet friend, Jerilynn’s passing. Have so many fond & loving memories from Kyger School & High School. The fun times of Girl Scout meetings at your Mom’s on Armstrong St after school with other girls. Time passes so fast anymore. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers for strength & comfort especially during this season of joy for the birth of our Savior.
