Jean Mitchell, 89, of Frankfort, died November 21, 2018 at Clinton House Health and Rehabilitation. She was born January 4, 1929 in Carroll County, Indiana to John Maurice & Edna Rosella (Stowers) Coffman. She married Robert L. Mitchell on April 17, 1949 in Frankfort and he survives. Mrs. Mitchell was a 1947 graduate of Frankfort High School and a lifelong Frankfort resident. She was a crossing guard for the Community Schools of Frankfort, worked at Mallory’s, Jules Simons and National Cigar, retiring from there in 1998. She was a member of the First Nazarene Church. She enjoyed gardening, outdoors, feeding animals, fishing, birdwatching and especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and never missed one of their events.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be 9:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Tim Grasham will officiate the service. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Cancer Fund.

Mitchell II and his wife Michele of rural Thorntown, Sister: Sally Stroup of Wawaka, Ind., 6 Grandchildren, Joey (Becky) Mitchell of Mulberry, Jana (Eric) Doyle of Romney, Bethany (Mitch) Williams of Brownsburg, Brooke Burgess of Dallas, TX, Madison Burgess of Thorntown, Brett Burgess of Thorntown, and 7 Great Grandchildren.
So sorry Uncle Robert & Bobby. Aunt Jeannie was such a sweet wonderful lady. David shared so many stories of when he was a kid & they took him on vacations & he spent so much time with them. My thoughts & prayers are with your entire family. Sorry I can’t be there.
