Larry, Kenneth, Heath, and Family: Our hearts were so sad when we you told us about Janet. You have all been like family to us over the many years. We have enjoyed the 4th of July celebrations, fishing at the pond, and basketball games in the driveway. But most of all, we loved seeing Janet’s face light up when she shared stories about her boys, the daughter-in-laws, and the grandchildren. She was a proud Mother and Grandma. We will miss being her “garage door” neighbors and the many visits. God bless your family at this time. You will always be in our prayers.

  39. Thomas G Johnson April 16, 2020 at 1:19 pm

Larry, my wife Nancy and I were saddened to learn of the loss of your wife, Janet. We trust that God, Who granted you so many years with her, may bear you through the grieving in the days ahead. In our own marriage of a mere 45 years, we remind ourselves often of God’s promises to His own children: “For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:

“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” I Corinthians 15:53-58
