Facebook Twitter GoogleI am saddened, as all of you, by the death of my “uncle Dad”. Thanks to all of you for sharing him with me and my family. He was a special man and will be remembered more than fondly by all who had the pleasure to know him. I was just thinking, imagine the fishing going on in Heaven now with both my dads! Wow, those fish don’t stand a chance! I wish with all my heart that I could be there with you, but I am sorry that I can’t. You are all in my heart, thoughts, and prayers right now-today and every day-and I will be thee in spirit. Love and prayers to each of you!

From the time Jim began to volunteer with Circle of Friends he was always our hero. Just two country bumkins, (stay at home moms and caregivers) trying to run a non-profit organization for developmentally challenged children and young adults. We just loved our special kids and wanted to help them have a better quality of life. Jim having a special granddaughter himself knew our hearts, but what a time he had trying to teach us how to run a business women. He was always gentle with us but I know at times he had to be exasperated with us, especially me.
Jim was our first technical man and he knew the computer quite well. How we would laugh when we couldn’t get the computer to do what it should and he would sit down and do the same thing we did and it worked! A few years later he would laugh and say “you girls were always asking me to do things on the computer that I didn’t know a thing about but I would tackle it anyway. I didn’t know half of what you thought I did.”
Even after Jim got too sick to come to the office he or Peggy would run up and get work he could do on his computer at home. He was a faithful friend and volunteer and memories like these will live on in our hearts forever.
Our condolences to Peggy, Dee, Bob & Cassandra and all the family,
Mertice and all the friends at Circle
