James Philip Barnett 27, of Austin, TX, died June 3, 2013 at his home in Austin. Born August 20, 1985 in Indianapolis, IN to Randall F. & Charlotte S. (Russell) Barnett. James was a 2004 graduate of Rossville High School and a 2008 graduate of University of Evansville with a degree in political science. He had lived in St. Louis and Las Vegas for a short time. He was currently a data director for the Texas State Democratic Party. James was a member of the Lambda Chi Fraternity at the University of Evansville and a member of the Democratic Party. He was an Indianapolis Colts and Pacer fan.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 3 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Parents: Randall & Charlotte Barnett of rural Frankfort, Fiancée: Kristi Stemler of St. Louis, 3 Brothers: Brian (Companion Chelsea Glass) Hall of Naples, FL, Christopher (Companion Myra Lolkema) Hall of Cedar Lake, IN, Erik Barnett of Indianapolis, 3 Sisters: Sarah Barnett at home, Rebekah Barnett of Lafayette, Abigail Barnett at home, Maternal Grand Parents: Jack & Betty Russell of Indianapolis and 1 Nephew: Jackson Hall
