Facebook Twitter GooglePat and Jim Pogue were such a gracious couple. They always held hands when walking. Pat and Jim sat in the row behind us at Purdue volleyball games and we missed them, dearly, when the travel from Frankfort to West Lafayette, became more than they could manage. My wife, Joan, and I had several memorable JPC football trips where we greatly enjoyed their company. I remember deep (?) conversations with Jim at a bar in the Bellagio and we both wondered how we were so lucky to be able to enjoy these benefits of a good life. Ane we repeated those conversations when we followed the Boilermakers to Hawaii in 2006. I have already missed he and Pat since they stopped going to volleyball games, but they are firmly entrenched in our memory banks! I told Jim several times that he was my role model for supporting the Boilermakers and, aging and enjoying the benefits of a long life.

Facebook Twitter GoogleDenise, Jeff, Kenny and Family:
I remember Jim walking back and forth to work at the National Cigar. Like clock work he would come and go, morning and night. Usually he wore a fedora and had a cigar in hand. Very meticulous and business like headed to and from your house on Paris St. I know it’s tough saying goodbye to him for the last time but like many of us who have lost parents and loved ones you will carry on with him on in your hearts. He was a good man, a good father and business man. You and Frankfort were lucky to have him. I hope the pain of losing him passes quickly. You’re in my prayers.

Jim, Pat, Don and I knew them well, I am proud to say. May he now live in peace, mas his family do well and I am sure they will if they have followed Jim and Pat through their lives.
