Irene Hughes, 101, passed away at Wesley Manor on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 1 p.m. She was born May 14, 1910 in Napoleon, OH. On January 14, 1930, she married Clement Hughes. He preceded her in death on September 3, 1978. She was educated as a bookkeeper and was employed full time until age 93.

Visitation and Services

Memorial Services will be Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 1 p.m. (CST) at Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton, IL and Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Federated Church, West Lafayette. Memorial donations may be made to Guardian Angel Hospice.

2 Sons: John (Companion Deborah Burton) of West Lafayette and Robert (Wife Pat) of Durham, NC 5 Grandchildren: David (Companion Any Thomerson) Hughes of Lafayette, Carol (Husband John) McNelly of Frankfort, Danny (Wife Brenda) Hughes of Bloomington and their mother Patsy Hughes of West Lafayette, Douglas and Kevin Hughes both of Durham, NC 4 Great Grandchildren: Brandon & Jordan of Lafayette and their mother Tracey Hughes also of Lafayette and  Preston and Samantha, both of Bloomington. 4 Great Great Grandchildren: Connor, Landon, Braxton and Macie
