I had Mr. Rule for biology also. He was one of the best teachers I had in high school and I remember him well. It was a pleasure being a student of his. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

My prayers and thoughts go out to all the Rule family. I am the Uncle to the Granddaughters Amanda and Rachel, and also lived with my sister Marsha and brother in law Andrew (son of Mr. Rule), when I was younger. I can remember going out to Hubert and Belva’s house several times as well as them coming to visit us in Lafayette. I always liked Hubert, he always seemed to make me welcome in the family and had a good sense of humor. I always enjoyed our trips out to their house. Thank you for being such good parents and Grandparents. In my mind, Cindy, Andy, and all the grand children could not of had a better Father and Grandfather than Hubert!

I first met Mr. Rule when he was my Freshman Bilology teacher at Frankfort High School. I had no idea how I was going to pass that class but he made it interesting and I actually got an A. Saw him again when my Driver’s Ed teacher, Mr. Kersey drove us out by his house the summer they were building it. Year’s later, he became my Father-In-Law and then my daughter’s Grandfather. Belva and Hubert were the only Grandparent’s Amanda and Rachel knew, as my parents passed away when I was a teen-ager. They couldn’t have asked for better grandparents. I know their heart’s are broken at losing their Grandpa Hubert. Such a rare, quiet, loving but strong man… I know he will never be forgotten and will always be remembered with love, respect, and admiration. My heart goes out to Belva who will certainly miss him the most!

He was a wonderful teacher. He is one of the rare teachers I remember and that I liked very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Be pround of him as he left a great mark on a few generations of students.

I was fortunate to have Mr. Rule for three years in history, science, and biology. He always made his classes come alive. It was apparent that he was interested in his students, and they in turn, were interested in what he taught. Mr. Rule personified what a teacher should be; intelligent, capable, humorous and a great motivator. He was a tremendous human being and will be greatly missed. I pray for comfort and peace for his family and in my heart I know he is with God now. Thank you, Mr. Rule for all you taught me.

I am Rick’s mother, Cindy’s mother-in-law, Neal is my husband and Rachel is Rick & Cindy’s Grandmother. We would like to express our gratitude for having been blessed enough to have shared in Hubert’s life. His presence always offered a kind, strong and wise influence. Although a great loss for his family and friends, we are happy to celebrate his life here on earth and most importantly his new life with God. Our prayers and thoughts are with Belva and all of the family at this sad and yet celebratory time.

When I read of Mr Rule’s death, it bought back my high school memories when he taught my biology class. He was a supportive, calm person with a smile who challenged me. His example and manner probably influenced many students. Our deepest sympathy is with the surviving family.

I wanted to send my thoughts and prayers to Mrs. Rule and Cindy. Mr. Rule had quite an influence on me. He even encouraged my wanting to go into education. Ironically, I became a Biology teacher myself due to his influence. I know he will be missed, but also know he is in a better place. When I see him again one day, I will tell him what I’ve told you. Thanks and God Bless, Bryce K. Hibbard
