Facebook Twitter GoogleSpecial thoughts & prayers go out to the family & relatives. I haven’t heard or seen Herb, since we were teenagers (60 years ago). I spent several times with Herb’s family in Otterbein, as a teenager. My mother was Herb’s Mother’s sister (Stella Smith, deceased). I remember the fond memories we had together with Herb’s family. I moved away from the area in 1952 & have not seen him since that time. I last visited with Herb’s mom (Leona) when she moved from Otterbein to West Lafayette, Ind, many years ago. Elmer & Leona Senesac family, were very special people in my life as we grew up in the area. Again our thoughts & prayers go out to the family & relatives during this difficult time. May God give you strength to endure your sorrow & get you through this trying time.

So sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. It is always a great personal loss to those who survive, but the memories of his love for his family and friends will provide comfort to you and sustain you. I was glad to have been able to see your dad at the camp out in June.

Facebook Twitter GoogleI am James Smith. Stella Gick Smith’s oldest son. Leona Gick Senesac was my Aunt who was my mother’s younger sister. I am sorry to hear of Herbert’s passing. It has been many years since we have seen or heard from each other. I am living in Williamsport, Pa. now. If you are not aware our grandfather Peter Gick, once lived in Johnstown Pa. arriving from Germany. The Gick families all left there in 1880’s during the bad floods.and moved to farms in Benton, Indiana. I was notified by my brother Bill in Tocoma, Wa. My prayers and thoughts are with you during this time of sorrow.
Respectfully James Smith
