Helen Marie Adkins

Helen Marie Adkins, 90, of Bloomington, Ind., died February 13, 2024 at Creasy Springs in Lafayette, Ind.  She was born July 17, 1933 in Jenkins, Kentucky to Dolph Hall & Elsie (Potter) Cleek.  She was married to Yale Adkins and he preceded her in death in 1976.

Helen was a graduate of Jenkins High School.   A loving homemaker, she was known as a great cook and baker and loved cooking for her family.  She was of the Christian Faith.  Helen enjoyed gardening, flowers, feeding and watching the birds and deer. Her favorite things were spending time with her siblings in Kentucky and especially her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandson.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 with the funeral service beginning at 3 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Pastor Howard Law will officiate. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, February 18th at Valhalla Memorial Gardens, Bloomington, Ind. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society.

Daughter: Karen S. Butcher of Frankfort, 2 Grandchildren: Anitra Jomarie (Rick) Ham of Frankfort, Nick (Michael Cooper) Butcher of Bloomington, Great Grandson: Jacob Day

Preceded by:

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Haupt in 2019

    Helen was a very loving caring person. She loved her family and friends, you will be missed. Thank you for the times we spent together. I will always be grateful for that. To her family, love and prayers for you all.
