Facebook Twitter GoogleWhat a joy it was to be a caregiver to such a wonderful lady as Helen. In 25 years of care giving, never have i looked forward to a visit as much as when it was time to go to Jim and Helen’s home, here in Florida. Always upbeat, always laughing, and always beautiful. Enjoyed shopping for them, especially when it was time to bring home fresh flowers, good pork chops, and above all, Helen’s favorite, Gummy Bears. We talked about her early days of teaching and I could only imagine the young people she taught, feeling lucky, now that they are older, to have had such a caring person as a teacher. I could go on and on about how it was so gracious and thoughtful of them both to invite my wife along when we out for dinner. Family meant everything to Helen and to include my wife was just natural to them both. I will be forever grateful for their friendship, and their generosity. Getting to know the rest of the family was an experience in watching how families age and grow closer as time passes. I know Helen will be watching over her family, and I only hope that she will include myself and my wife, for having Helen on your side is a wonderful feeling. Our condolences to the entire family and just wanted you all to know that in all my years of helping those who were unable to care for themselves as they once did, never have I met a person as personable, empathetic, or as beautiful as person as your own Helen.
