Glenda L. Surber

Glenda L. Surber, 74 of Frankfort, Ind., passed away February 27, 2020 at I.U. Health Frankfort Hospital.  She was born July 18, 1945 in Frankfort, Ind. to James Harold & Velma Geraldine (Baker) Ostler.  She married Rex Surber on May 30, 1963 and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2008.  Glenda was a 1963 graduate of Clinton Central High School and was a lifelong Frankfort resident.  She worked as CNA at Wesley Manor for over 20 years, retiring in 1997.  Glenda loved gardening and fishing with her husband.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort, Ind. Funeral Celebration will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2020 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association.

(Shelly) Surber of Frankfort, Grandchildren: Ryan (Stephanie) Surber of Columbia City, Ind., Joshua (Elisha) Surber of Frankfort, Jordan Surber Companion: Dustin Lindahl of Rensselaer, Ind., 2 Sisters: Sandy (Bob) Throckmorton of Frankfort, Donna Mosson of Frankfort,7 Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.

    I remember Glenda as a sweet gal who I loved being around as a child and as a married lady, going to Church with. She had to work every other Sunday and she was sure missed that Sunday she worked. My late husband and I used to visit them on Michigantown Blacktop. She is with Rex now. Prayers for her family.

    So sorry for the Family loss of this special lady. I worked with Glenda many years at Wesley Manor, we had great memories. I had lost contact with her. I am sorry to say. She will be miss by many, she was a happy go luck lady. Whom I am happy to have had the pleasure of knowing. The ladys at the WM luncheon talked highly of working with her, as we met today. Prayers be with you all

    So very sorry for you loss. Glenda was a sweet lady. I used to visit with her a bit when she was sitting on her patio when I was over to visit my brother at the apartments.

    With deepest sympathy to the Surber family. While watching the memory video, I noticed that in almost every photo Glenda had the biggest, most beautiful smile. She was a very sweet, fun-loving lady who reminded me a great deal of my own Mother. She will be deeply missed. R.I.P. Glenda
