Gladys Fern Horn 86, of Frankfort, IN, died at 5:55 p.m. February 2, 2016 at Sheridan Rehabilitation Center, Sheridan, IN.  Born March 10, 1929 in Clinton County to Lemuel Martin & Alma Lucy (Powell) Robbins.  She married Omer Horn Jr. on October 4, 1947 and he preceded her in death on June 15, 1978.  Mrs. Horn attended Frankfort Schools. She was a former Kirklin resident. She had worked at Mallory Controls until 1978 (17 years) and Lawsons chicken farm, near Thorntown, IN, gathering eggs.

Visitation and Services

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2016 at Green Lawn Cemetery Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the chapel. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park.

Survived by:

Son: James Omer (Dottie) Horn of Noblesville, IN, 3 Daughters: Catherine “Diane” (Charles) Young of Monticello, KY, Shirley (Jackie) Burgin of Frankfort, IN, Gladys Elaine (Terrie) Johnston-Horn of Logan, UT, 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Preceded by:

her parents, son, Lemuel “Marty” Horn, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

    Dear family, I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Fern. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with ya’ll. I can’t get off of work to come for I’ve been sick. Louise has been in the hospital and I have missed some time recently. Please someone call when you can. I love ya’ll!

    So sorry to hear about Aunt Fern. She’s in my memory as well as Jesus memory. John 5:28,29. I’m still in Texas and not able to be up there. Everyone is in my prayers. Love y’all.
