Very sorry, George was a truly good person. He bowled with my father for many years, as my father’s eyesight deteriorated, George made sure he could continue to bowl. And for that I am forever in his debt.
    Thank you George…RIP

    • Paula Russell October 3, 2022 at 11:41 am

George loved bowling with Roy. I think that is the only reason he quit when Roy could no longer bowl with hi,. He said it wasn’t the same. He loved your parents and always had such good things to say about them. Thank you for reaching out in support. I appreciate your kind words.

He was like a Pro in softball, one of the best to work with and have as a Friend. Also, One of the best PotRoom workers to know. All that new him will miss him because of the way he was. Prayers for you and your Family, RIP George.

    • Paula Russell October 3, 2022 at 11:49 am

Thank you for your kind words and support. I remember coming to your home in NY and your generosity in making us feel at home. George did love his sports and was really good at most of what he did. He was very competitive and enjoyed giving it his all. He loved working at Alcoa and spoke of the pot room often. I still am unsure exactly what happens in the pot room even though he told me many times! He loved and cherished the friendships he made with the NY Alcoa people and always had a special place in his heart for all of you.

Thank you Kristen for your care and support. I do have many great memories and love looking through my many pictures. I don’t think people realize the comfort you can find when looking at an old photograph—the smiles, the memories from that specific event. It does help. This is a very difficult time for me and I am very sad. Prayers are very much appreciated.

Thank you Faith. It is hard and I am sad. I do know that Michele was waiting for George when he entered those gates of heaven. They had a special relationship. George and I talked about it before his passing. I know it was a difficult day for Dan and the boys because of the memories of Michele’s service but it was so good to see them and feel their support. Your continued prayers are appreciated.

Thank you for your love and support. It means so much. George was the love of my life and my best friend. Living without him isn’t something that I wanted to do, but he was so tired and needed to be released from his earthly life. I rejoice knowing he is in heaven and is free of pain and the cancer is gone, but my heart is very sad. I am just trying to take it one day at a time, but my memories do help provide comfort.
