G. “Darlene” Parrish 81, of Frankfort, IN, died at 8:24 p.m. November 5, 2012 at the home of her daughter. Born July 26, 1931 in Decatur, IL to the late Gordon & Laverne (Mickens) Thomas. She married Bernard S. Parrish on July 14, 1956 in Decatur, Il and he preceded her in death on July 4, 2011. Mrs. Parrish attended Decatur High School and moved here from California 7 years ago. She was a homemaker. She worked at Indiana Beach and also at the Monticello Hanger Factory. Mrs. Parrish was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed gardening and canning and as a young girl enjoyed skating.

Visitation and Services

Services are 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.

Daughter: Pamela Benner of Lafayette 5 Grandchildren: Valerie (Larry) Travers of Florida, Jeff Hoover of Florida, Melanie (Ed) Stambaugh of Frankfort, Kyle (Emilee) Benner in Fort Hood, TX and Ashley Benner of Lafayette 3 Great Grandchildren: Nicole Pendleton, Joshua Goodwin and Dylan Stambaugh 2 Great Great Grandchildren: Savannah Pendleton and Morghan Veach

She was preceded in death by a half brother, Gordon Michael Thomas and her parents.
