I met Tony when I was 18 and started at Marsh in the Deli. Tony as I remember always had a smile, a kind word and a twinkle in his eyes. Tony made time for everyone, and treated all with respect and dignity. He helped train me in the meat dept., when I had to wrap bacon every Tuesday night. He never lost patients and always gave me encouragement. Even though I had lost touch with Tony when I quit Marsh in 1981, I never forgot his kindness. Tony will be truly missed.

Facebook Twitter GoogleI was very sad to hear the news of Tony’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the Herport family during this difficult time. Tony was married to my aunt a long time ago. I have always respected this man dearly. His smile was so contagious and his warm, loving, fun personality was always a joy to be around. I will always remember his awesome homemade chocolate milkshakes and the kiddie cocktails he made for me at the Moose Lodge when I was a kid. RIP Tony. You will sadly be missed.
