We never knew Fred, but we have lived for 34 years in the home that his parents built. We really love it & are so pleased to enjoy the care that the family put into this home. I was happy to be able to meet Fred’s mom before she died & send our sincerest condolences to the whole family upon Fred’s death. If we are home, we welcome you to come visit what many older residents may still call “The Petty House”.

So sorry you’ve lost your brother, Cynthia. I remember him playing football in the Kern vacant lot on Boone Street after school while us younger kids watched the big boys. I also remember him playing football for good ole FHS. My condolences to your family.

Cynthia, I just happened to be looking at the obituaries on Goodwin’s website when I came across Fred’s listing. The first thing I noticed was how much he looked like your Dad in the photo. I am so very sorry you lost him. I remember him as a very, very nice big brother who would come and go when I was at your house. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Fondly, Sherry
