Frederick E. Faust 93, of rural Frankfort, died at 8:08 p.m. April 2, 2010 at his home, following an extended illness. Born January 2, 1917 in Frankfort, IN to Frank R. & Alta Cordelia (Smith) Faust. He married Martha C. Decker on April 29, 1944 in St. Johns Evangelical Reformed Church in Vincennes, IN and she survives. Mr. Faust was a 1935 graduate of Frankfort High School. He worked at Indiana Brass Co. as a metal polisher for 45 years, retiring in 1981. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was in the 94th Infantry Division. His memberships include the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, former member of First Christian Church, where he was deacon and elder, member of 94th Infantry Association, V.F.W., Choir and Fun Time Band at the Paul Phillippe Resource Center, past member of Lions Club, past president & founder of the Opportunity Center, past board member of Camp Cullom and former member of Clinton Masonic Lodge.
Visitation and Services
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 7th at the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Family will visit with friends following the memorial service in Fellowship Hall. Donations in honor of Fred may be made to the Opportunity Center, 950 McKinley Ave, Frankfort, IN 46041.
