My prayers go out to Jackie, Andi, Mark and family for your loss. As a hired hand in my youth for Fred and Sandy Brock, Joe and Erma Maish and even Stuffy Walters, I had many chances to work alongside Fred in that neighborhood. Fred was always fun to work with and even more fun when a hard July rain drew the local farmers to Pat’s tool shed where tall stories were swapped and Fred’s laughter boomed from the rafters. May peace be with you.

My heart breaks for you all as you say good bye, for now, to your dear husband, father, friend. There was no home as welcoming as “Fred and Jackie’s” when I was a kid, filled with laughter and kindness and the memory of Fred has always been stored with my most prized recollections. May you find some peace in the garden and the energy to laugh with the flowers again, sometime soon. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
