Finton C. Slipher

Finton Carl Slipher 89 former Frankfort resident, died February 26, 2016 at Zionsville Meadows, Zionsville, Indiana.  He was born May 25, 1926 in Frankfort, IN to Edward & Inez Iona (Egan) Slipher.  He married Phyllis Bolinger on August 14, 1948 and she preceded him in death in 1988.  He then married Agnes “Louise” Edmonds in 1990 and she preceded him in death on October 24, 2013. Finton was a 1943 graduate of Frankfort High School.  A lifelong famer, he also managed apartments.  He was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Navy.  Finton was a member of the Kilmore Methodist Church.

Visitation and Services

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the Goodwin Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be in Kilmore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clinton County Community Foundation.

brothers, Wilbur, Bob, Fred, Stanley, Clayton Slipher and a sister, Sylvia Larimore

    Greg, I have fond memories of your mother and father accepting me into their home when I would come over to play “Tiddlywinks” with you on your living room floor. May God bless you at this time of loss.

    So sorry for your loss. Finton was always a character who lived a great and full life enjoying his family and friends. He will be missed by many.
