Elizabeth J. “Betty” Zipperian 86 of Frankfort, IN, died at 4:05 a.m. July 23, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis, IN. Born February 4, 1925 in Kirklin, IN to the late Harry McClamrock & Valera (Kelly) Smith. She married Robert L. Zipperian on June 14, 1942 in Lebanon, IN. He preceded her in death on October 19, 1981. Mrs. Zipperian was a graduate of Jackson Township High School. She worked as an inspector at the Coke Plant in Frankfort, a clerk at Conkrights Sporting Goods Store and Thrashers Department Store both in Frankfort. Mrs. Zipperian formerly attended the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and The First Christian Church both in Frankfort and was a life member of Sigma Alpha Chi Sorority. Her activities included being a Pink Lady at the hospital, a Red Cross volunteer, and a driver for Meals on Wheels.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4-6 pm. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or A Great Find, envelopes will be available.

2 Daughters: Carol Surface of Mulberry and Kelly (Mike) Henry of rural Frankfort Sister: Louise Abernathy of Anderson 5 Grandchildren, Amy, Rachel, Jason, Jenna & Jordan and 9 Great Grandchildren

Preceded by:

She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, a granddaughter, Angie in 2002 and a son-in-law, Bob Surface in Dec. 2010.
