Edwin Eugene Emans 82, of Frankfort, IN, died unexpectedly at 10:30 p.m. August 10, 2010 at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital. Born June 7, 1928 in Mercer, Ohio to the late Elvin Lee & Janice (Wilges) Emans. He was formerly married to Marjorie Ringwald and Ladonna Workman. He then married Ana E. Steinmetz on June 20, 1987 and she survives. Mr. Emans was a 1946 graduate York High School in Mercer County OH. He lived in Elgin, OH from 1930-1958, Delphos, Ohio from 1958 until moving to Frankfort in 1962. He was a conductor for Norfolk & Southern Railway and also worked for Erie Railroad and New York Central, retiring on November 16, 1988 after 36 years. His memberships include; St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Elks, Eagles Lodge, Clinton Masonic Lodge, Knights of Columbus, York Scottish Rite and a former member of Murat Temple in Indianapolis. He was the Elks State Treasurer for over 15 years. Mr. Emans enjoyed RVing, traveling and was an active member with the INDYBAGO State Club of Indiana.

Visitation and Services

Funeral Mass will be 9 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2010 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. Donations may be made to The Elks National Foundation, 2750 N. Lakeview Ave., Chicago, IL 60614. Envelopes will be available.

    Ana and family, it was a pleasure to be with Ed and Ana in Sebring, Florida…he was alot of fun espically playing holeyboard….he will be missed by many….Ana was the apple of his eye…their love was seen by all the knew them….Ana we are thinking of you so much…love you dearly friend….Pat and Don too
