Edith Lorraine Kelly Rogers, 89, a former Frankfort resident, died February 10, 2017 at the home of her daughter, Cheryl Komorowski, in Tifton, GA, after a long illness.
Edith was born November 11, 1927 at the home of her parents, Arta R. & Edith L. (Hildebrand) Kelly in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Soon after her birth her parents returned to their home town of Frankfort. She met Richard Kent Rogers in La Sierra, California on leave from his tour of duty with the U.S. Army. After Richard’s honorable discharge, he and Edith were married July 15, 1946 at her parent’s home in Frankfort. They were blessed with five children and remained in Frankfort for many years.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Cicero Cemetery, Cicero, Ind.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl A. (Edmund M.) Komorowski of Tifton, GA, a son, James D. “Jim” Rogers of Fort Myers, FL, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Richard K. “Dick” Rogers Sr., two daughters, Edith I. “Edie” Rogers and Linda S. Rogers, a son; Richard K. “Rick” Rogers Jr., a granddaughter, Lindsay L Bortle Rogers, a brother, Harold R. Kelly and two sisters, Ella “Lucille” Kelly Reiswig and Doris “Jane” Kelly Segesman.
