Dear Family,
After the loss of a loved one many memories are recalled to mind. The wealth of knowledge held by Dr. Satterfield and his willingness to share this knowledge and help lead others as they endeavored to gain additional knowledge is a Nobel profession indeed. May your fond memories and the memories of family, friends and others touched by Dr. Satterfield comfort you at this time. A wise author once wrote: “A good name is better than good oil and the day of death better than the day one was born.” This is because making a good name with God is what will bring true peace and happiness when all is said and done. May the comfort of your prayers and friends be with you.

Facebook Twitter GoogleI am not sure that this is Jim and Rachel Satterfield which I remember fondly as a child while living in Tipton, IN and attending the old Pilgrim Holiness Church. I am making the assumption that it is and want to extent to you my sincere love and respect to your family. We lost our mother Bertha, suddenly, Oct 2002 and then just lost my father Robert G. Raines last June 29, 2012 at age 82. In between I suddenly lost my son David Raines, Jr. just after his 30 birthday in March 2005, followed by the birth of his son David Raines, III just three weeks after his death. I am more than aware of our human grief but so blessed to have the faith of our Jesus that they are all in his glory and I will see them again one day. I recently converted some old 8 mm movies to a DVD and if you are my old dear friends I was glad to see you in those movies and the fond memories of those days. If you are not the same family, then you are still a part of our family of God and I extend to you my sincere wishes at this time of your loss. In His Grace, David E. Raines
