Dorothy E. Beard Languell

Dorothy E. Beard Languell 93, of Frankfort, IN, died December 23, 2012 at Wesley Manor Health Care Center. Born January 21, 1919 in Greenville, TN to the late Edgar Nathaniel & Molly (Strong) Pickering. She married Marvin Frederick Beard in 1940 and he preceded her in death on November 17, 1979. She then married Chester Languell on July 13, 1985 and he preceded her death on December 25, 1999. Mrs. Languell grew up in Greenville, Tennessee and attended Greenville Schools there. She moved to Frankfort at the age of 21. She worked as a cook for Frankfort High Schools for 5 years, after previously working at the Kokomo Garment Factory, and Jules Simon in Frankfort. Mrs. Languell was a member of the St. Matthew United Methodist Church and formerly a member of Beard O.E.S. and Beard Friendship Club. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 12 Noon, Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Cancer Fund.

2 Sons: Larry F. (Karen) Beard of Rossville and Bobby Gene (Fran) Beard of Frankfort 1 Step Son: Jerry (Elizabeth) Languell of Dallas, TX 2 Sisters-in-Law: Eva Pickering of Kokomo and Mildred Pickering of Tennessee 3 Grandchildren, 3 Step Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and two special nieces, Nancy Kehrer and Shirley Abbott also survive.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Beard, 2 sisters, Nova Crum and Maxine Smith, 4 brothers, Cecil Pickering, Kyle Pickering, Buford Pickering and Freeman Pickering, a sister-in-law, Betty Pickering, brother-in-law, Johnny Bill Smith and step son, Jim Languell.
