Donna “Sue” Cox

Donna “Sue” Cox, 88, of Frankfort, Ind., died May 22, 2021 at Witham Hospital, Lebanon, Ind.  She was born November 4, 1932 in Clinton County to Lloyd Sneathen & Josephine (Holt) Sneathen Bowman.  She married Russell “Jr” Cox on February 5, 1949 and he preceded her in death on August 20, 2014.

Sue was a graduate of Frankfort High School and had worked at Pearson’s Hallmark for 25 years, where she was the manager.  Sue attended the First Church of the Nazarene.

Visitation and Services

Memorial visitation will be 9:30 -11 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2021 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. The family ask that those attending the visitation and service to please wear a mask.

Son: Jeff (Kathy) Cox of Michigantown, 4 Grandchildren: Cande (Todd) Coulter of Iowa, Chad Weaver of West Lafayette, Amy (Adam) Lucas of Michigantown, Ginger (Josh) Richey of Rossville, 7 Great Grandchildren: Jessi (Caleb) Kettenacker of Iowa, Jerod Howe of Iowa, Mattye Coulter of Iowa, Natalee, Sophee & Eleanor Richey of Rossville, Carter Lucas of Michigantown, and a Great Grandson due in September, Great Great Grandchildren: Jaden and Selah Howe of Iowa and Finley Kettenacker of Iowa.

Preceded by:

In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by daughter, Pam Stoops on January 26, 2011 and a great grandson, Joshua Luke Richey.

    I don’t know what to say. I just found out the news. To her family….I loved this lady beyond words. And just can’t find the right words to express my feelings or thoughts right now. Until we meet again Sue. I love ya Lady.

    To the Cox Family, especially Jeff and Kathy: I will always remember your mom and dad as part of the “ice cream supper” bunch that had their first get together in 1949. I have been so fortunate to know Jeff and Kathy as adults. I know you have good memories of Sue and Junior; they cannot be erased by death.     Sue was a great woman, I knew her for years, she gave a lot of stuff a few years ago, she was a great friend to my mother, Teresa, she will be dearly missed. Many hugs and prayers to her family. Love you forever Sue

    Sue and her late husband Jr were close friends with my parents Gordon and Jane Mertz (both passed). My family was always excited and happy to visit the Cox’s.
