Dewey Odel Ferguson, 80, of rural Frankfort, died October 22, 2024 surrounded by family at his home. He was born October 7, 1944 in Burksville, Kentucky to Joe B. & Dora (York) Ferguson. His marriage of 60 years was to Patricia Lu Kelly and she survives.
Dewey was a 1963 graduate of Clinton Central High. Following high school, he attended a trade school for asbestos and was a member of the Local 18 Asbestos Workers for 30 years. A lifelong Clinton County resident, he was a member of the Eagles and the American Legion in Kirklin. Dewey loved helping people in the community, was a “Jack of all trades, master of none” and enjoyed fixing and tinkering with things.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be Noon-2 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St. Frankfort. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home and burial will follow in Scotland Cemetery, Kirklin, Ind. Memorial donations may be made to Shop with a Cop.

Wife: Patricia Ferguson of rural Frankfort, Daughter: Jennifer Bowman of Kirklin, Son: Lawrence J. Ferguson of Kirklin, Grandchildren: Katie Butcher, Shelby (Reece) Coen, Andrew Ferguson, and Lindsay Knox, 3 siblings, many nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 10 siblings and many close friends and members of the community that impacted his life.
