Dennis Wayne Townsley, 64 of Frankfort, died August 24, 2024 at his home. He was born August 21, 1960 in Crawfordsville, to Jerry Lee and Esther “Joan” (Monroe) Townsley. He married Crystal Tansey on November 30, 1985 and they had almost 39 years together.
Dennis was a graduate of Frankfort High School and was a lifelong Frankfort resident. He had worked at NTK, Fontana Fasteners and Schulz IGA. In the past, he had coached soccer and baseball for his sons. He enjoyed playing racquetball, golfing, basketball and spending time with his dogs J.D., Bella and Soncho, who were his babies. Dennis was a dog lover, especially Great Pyrenees. He volunteers at the Pyrenees rescue and enjoyed walking the dogs.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. September 6, 2024 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will begin at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Indiana Great Pyrenees Rescue. Clinton County Crematory and Goodwin Funeral Home are assisting the family.

Wife: Crystal Townsley of Frankfort, sons: James (Sarah) Townsley of Frankfort, Brandon Townsley of Frankfort, Andrew (Bree Palmer) Townsley of Frankfort, brother: Kevin (Jamie) Townsley of Frankfort, sister: Patty Wilcox of Frankfort, former daughter-in-law: Jasmine Harkcom of Battle Ground, sisters-in-law: Connie (Scott) Alexander of Mulberry, Shelly Tansey of Rossville, brother-in-law: Larry (Michelle) Tansey Jr. of Mulberry, grandson: Zachary Townsley, nieces & nephews: Bethany, Nathaniel, Jennifer, Kimmy, Mattie, Mason, Josh, Chasta, Lillie and Chelsea.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Mounts.
Crystal and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Dennis was such a great man, father, son, brother, friend and grandpa. He loved his family the most and was very proud of his family. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers for the coming days.

I am so sorry for your loss. Dennis was one of the nicest guys I know. I’ve known him since I was 12 and he hung out with my sister in high school. Even though I was the “little sister”, he didn’t treat me that way. Also all the memories of the baseball games when our sons played on the same team. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
