David L. Shaw 56, of Frankfort, died at 8:50 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette. Born December 7, 1957 to Ronnie Shaw & Dorothy Eldridge. He was raised by Ronnie and Ruby (Branham) Shaw. He married Rosemary Brown on November 5, 1992 and she survives. A longtime Frankfort resident, he attended Manual High School in Indianapolis and Frankfort High School. He was a truck driver at his family owned company, B & C Cartage in Indianapolis. He then worked at Kirby Risk Electrical Supply Company for 19 years and then for the Community Schools of Frankfort as a custodian. He was known as “Big Dave Shaw Race Car Driver”. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed racing, derby cars, I.U. Basketball, playing cards, and Minnesota Vikings Football. Most of all, he loved his family and friends. His grandson Jaxson Bassett was his pride & joy.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 19th at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Whiteman Cemetery. Donations may be made to Goodwin Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
