Shelley & family – Was so sorry to hear of David’s passing. It has been a couple of years since I had ran into him and had a nice chat – we were reminiscing about highschool basketball, the spring vacation trip when he & your mom took a bunch of you girls out west, your Mom and Frito days (he always would make the rice krispie treat stuff out of corn flakes with green food coloring shaped into a wreath with red hot “holly berries” -my favorite treat) . Your dad was a very kind, soft spoken and caring man. I never heard him say an unkind word, gossip about anyone, raise his voice or lose his temper. I know you will miss him terribly. Someone told me this when my father died and it made me smile, “HIS LAST BREATH ON EARTH WAS HIS FIRST BREATH IN HEAVEN”. Prayers to you & the family – Carol Harrison

A beautiful service. Thank you so much for making it available to those of us who couldn’t be there in person. The wonderful poem brings a new meaning to the crosses David sent me just a few weeks ago. Besides my own family members, I shared them with others including clients of an organization where I volunteer. It is called Angel Reach and ministers to young people who have aged out of foster care and are homeless. I think David would be happy knowing that these young people will benefit from his talent, giving them something positive to cling to. Something they haven’t experienced much in their lives. David and I are “cousins-in-law”. Our spouses (who went before us) were very close. We all shared special family moments and memories. Even after our spouses reunited in heaven, David and Daisy Mae would drive from Indiana to Oklahoma to share Thanksgiving at our cabin. He would sit by the campfire and whittle for hours. The eternal chain, candle sticks, so many items. He made one of the canes for my husband who suffered with ALS. I treasure that and used it myself a couple of years ago. I could go on and on but reverend said it best. David will continue to walk with us who loved him.

Hugs and prayers for Shelley, Ryan, Austin and Kade
