I just came to know Danny from seeing him at our Church on Sundays. About 3 weeks ago, when the weather was horrible, I saw Danny walking in the strong wind, trying to get to a local restaurant. I stopped and gave him a ride. We had a nice chat on the way and before Danny got out of the car, he thanked me and wished me well. He truly loved the Lord, and it is in knowing that, that I know Danny is safe in the arms of Jesus. Rest in Peace Danny.

We are very sorry for your loss. Danny taught us much about the love of Christ in our time of going to Church with him. He was a lifelong friend and classmate of my wife Tracey (O’Brien) and his passing has touched our hearts deeply. Our prayers are with the Bragg family. At times like this we know that God’s full healing doesn’t come on this side of heaven, as the family mourns the loss, please remember as I will that Danny, in the full Glory of Christ, now sees Jesus face to face and will receive his reward in full for the Love that he shared in Jesus while on earth.

Danny was one of those rare people you meet, who you just can’t put a finger on what it is about him but he is very likeable and I know Danny would go out of his way to help anyone all they had to do was ask and he was there. If Dan left a legacy I think it is to remind us all life is short and to value all those around us not just the select few. Rest In Peace my friend and we shall see each other again.

He would give you the shirt off his back even if it was his last one if he thought someone deserved it more than he. Rest in peace my friend, you will be sadly missed by everyone.

I was so heartbroken to hear the news that Danny had passed away. I first met Danny when I was a little girl and we attended the same church. I always enjoyed talking to Danny and hearing his jokes, and he always asked about my family. I never seen Danny without a smile on his face. He had the biggest heart of any person I know. One night my father was very ill and in the hospital and it was raining and very late and my mother and I were on our way home and I got a flat tire. I drove to the nearest gas station and Danny just happened to be there and he laid in the rain and changed my tire for me, he was our angel that night. I don’t know what I would have done without him. I hope you are being rewarded for that tonight Danny because I know you are safe in the arms of Jesus. My heart and prayers are with your family. Until we meet again, R.I.P. Danny.

So sorry for the loss of Danny, him and his family were long time friends of the family, and also was great friends with me and my husband. Heart of gold just doesn’t describe Danny enough, just not enough words to describe him. Always had a smile on his face and I don’t think he had anybody that he wasn’t kind to. Lots and lots of great memories with Danny, me and my husband. Also great memories growing up with him and his family and all the great times we had. Rip Danny

  30. Rita Kay Martinez April 9, 2014 at 7:35 pm

This then is what I pray, kneeling before the Father from Whom every family, whether spiritual or natural takes its name. Out of His infinite Glory may He give you the power through His Holy Spirit so your hidden self can grow strong and Christ can live in your hearts through faith and then planted in love and built on love, you will with all the saints have strength to know the breadth and length, the height and depth, until knowing the love of Christ, you are filled with the utter fullness of God. Glory to Him Whose power working us can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine. Glory to Him from generation to generation in the Church and in Christ Jesus forever. Amen
Eph 3,14ff. A sincere and heartfelt hug to each.

Danny was like a son to us. He went to school with our girls. He wasn’t much older than our oldest. We went to a lot of places together, had a lot of all night talks, and played games together. He was even very helpful in our move to Missouri. The last time we saw him, was about 4-1/2 years ago when he came with our daughter and her family to visit. He was great company whenever we got together, loved everyone, and had a very kind heart! We are confident that he was greeted with the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant!” then escorted to a great mansion! He is running around whole and healthy! God Bless!

  32. Donna West April 10, 2014 at 12:26 am

    Dear Bragg Family,
Sorry for your loss, God be with you all. I have known Dan every since I was a young teenager and he would come down and visit the family and I’m forty two now. He will be missed by so many people.

  33. Ross Johnson April 14, 2014 at 3:42 pm

I remember meeting him for the first time at my first Cub Scout camp-out (1979?). My dad had very optimistically bought me a baseball and mitt to take along. Danny was happy to do practice throws and catches with me for about an hour, while the other campers filed in to the campsite. He was practically the only person I remember who wasn’t frustrated or bemused by my utter lack of athletic skill. Danny was probably the nicest person I ever met.
